How I Became An Artist

I have been speaking publicly since a very young child.  In elementary, my mom would help me remember class and/or church program scripts by going over them with me repetitiously until I had it down packed.  She is my 1st fan and is still my #1 supporter. She is even a poet herself. But dance is her 1st love. As I grew older and began to try to find my way, I lost myself in the demands of a cruel world and the stereotypes of a black male in America. Along my journey, I was blessed with 2 sons. Since then, I have spent my life working to become a positive example for them while teaching and guiding them along their unique journeys.  Bruce Allmighty Word is the manifestation and culmination of that effort. He will attempt to write the legacy of their father's name that is to be left behind when my journey on this plane is complete. Speaking publicly can be a scary thing, but I feel that it is one of a few callings placed on my life. So it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with obedience and purpose. For I am an introvert and private person. Still, I am but a vessel filled with instruction from the author of all creation. Performing spoken word does afford me the blessing to connect with other positive spirits and align our common energy focusing it on healing, growth, and mental ascension.
